November 2014 – Sierra Leone’s Goodwill Ambassador has sent a 40-foot container stacked with medical supplies to help her country combat the Ebola Virus, which is also ravaging other West African Nations Liberia, Guinea, and Nigeria.
September 2007 –The Goodwill Ambassador has not only been sending medical equipment and supplies to Sierra Leone, but she has distributed hundreds of bags of rice and other commodities to families in Kalangba, Gbendembu Gowahun, and Rokulan Metropolis.
Thanksgiving 2005 – Charity Children Center Soup Kitchen serves its first meal.
March 2008 – Working in partnership with the city, the Board purchases two abandoned warehouses on 58th Street and begins renovation.
About Mrs. Isatu Timbo-Nwokedi
Mrs. Isatu Timbo-Nwokedi is both a Goodwill Ambassador for Sierra Leone and Honorary Consul. She is the first ever appointed Honorary Consul of Sierra Leone in the county of Los Angeles, California. She has always been a humanitarian and philanthropist, who used her own money to procure medicines, medical equipment and other essential logistics to help hospitals and clinics in the country. She also used to supply truckloads of food supplies to distribute to impoverished families in the Kalangba, Gbendembu Gowahun and Rokulan metropolises. She also financed Muslims to the annual pilgrimage in Mecca.
Mrs. Timbo-Nwokedi has been instrumental in mobilizing investors, business people and goodwill partners to take trade, commerce and investments to Sierra Leone. She has won many prestigious awards for her work for humanity in general and represented the nation in different international events, some of which include:
- Vigor Awards Ambassador at the First Annual Vigor International Awards in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
- Representative for Sierra Leone at the 36th Annual Anaheim Black History Parade in Orange County, California
- Representative for Sierra Leone at the 24th Annual Pan African Film and Art Festival
- On behalf of the Sierra Leone Government and Medical Board, received the award for “The Posthumous Prestigious Heroes” award honoring all 11 medical doctors who died while treating Ebola Patients

In her determination to help the Ebola widows, Mrs. Timbo works endless hours planning a fundraising gala to be held in 2017 along with the support of a team of elected officials, celebrities, and dedicated volunteers to ensure the widows would not be forgotten and will be self-sufficient to maintain a decent livelihood to take care of their families.
